SHE-Q Training Coordinator - Guelph

Job description

Training

  • Schedules required client’s site-specific training for all employees entering a client worksite.
  • Sends out appropriate pre-course information to participants, if required.
  • Responsible for maintaining external training records and keeping records up to date.
  • Responsible to research necessary safety councils or training locations for new project training or site access.
  • Responsible to communicate with badging offices of employees entering site and maintaining deactivation of badges, if necessary or joint ownership with Project Managers.
  • Responsible for site specific document management within online scheduling vendor and uploading necessary information into the Mammoet Academy system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Train workers as required, i.e. (WHMIS, Fall Protection, etc.)

Health & Safety

  • Support Mammoet’s Health and Safety strategies, programs and procedures
  • Help and support the SHE-Q management program
  • Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Support and assist in risk assessments and job hazard analysis
  • Assist SHE-Q manager with health and safety related matters
  • Cultivate, support and promote Health and Safety initiatives

Reports to

Manager, SHE-Q Canada East (Safety, Health, & Environment Quality)

Purpose of the job

The right person for this position will be responsible for arranging and coordinating required on-the-job and client specific training for new and current employees. You will also be responsible for maintaining and keeping up to date all records and training files pertaining to client sites. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be able to work fully independently on all result areas according to instructions and procedures within the organization.

Education & Experience

  1. Must have experience with registering training courses with worksites (client site specifics) and training locations.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business Administrator or equivalent experience.
  3. 2-5 years of Health & Safety, Training or equivalent experience.
  4. Proficient with Excel 2013, Word 2013 and PowerPoint 2013.
