Project Coordinator


Job description

Mammoet is currently looking for a dynamic and results driven individual to join our Project Management team in our Guelph office. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, an eye for small details, and the ability to provide our clients with the quality service expected from Mammoet. A previous knowledge of the heavy transport industry, crane industry, and the petrochemical industry are necessary for success within this role. The ability to read and interpret large or complicated contracts as well as negotiate terms is also a key requirement. Our business focuses heavily on service and therefore requires flexibility around work times and travel to project sites in the Eastern Canadian region.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner
  • Reviews requirements and work of awarded projects and develops execution plan for the project
  • Acts as the single point of contact between Mammoet and the client
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the project in accordance with how the project was sold
  • Monitors and controls project schedule
  • Ensures project invoicing is timely, accurate and in accordance with contract invoicing guidelines
  • Ensures project has required personnel, with appropriate experience and/or training for the required tasks
  • Ensures and assumes responsibility for the safe execution of the project as outlined in the Mammoet SHE-Q Manual and as per client requirements
  • Delegates and coordinates all onsite activities to meet set goals for the project
  • Monitors and is accountable for the project budget throughout the execution of the project
  • Monitors and controls any Contract Change Notices for extra work, omissions or any other potential changes to the contract whilst ensuring that Mammoet receives fair treatment in regards to such changes
  • Disciplines include all facets of Mammoet activity on site as Mammoet makes no distinction between internal divisions, branches, unions, contracts or other on a project. We strive to portray a single Mammoet unit in regards to meeting client requirements and expectations.

Education & Experience


  • Post-secondary education, Technical Diploma or Degree.
  • Project Management courses are an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office (Excel), AutoCAD, and SAP.
  • CSTS.
  • Valid Driver’s License.


  • 5+ years of progressive field and/or project management experience in a related industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of the crane and transport industry.
  • Proven communication skills
  • Commercial or contract experience

About our region

This is a full-time permanent position operating out of our Guelph Head Office. Periodic travel and site work will be required.
