Contracts Manager

Job description

As a Contracts Manager at Mammoet, you will be responsible for managing the development of contracts, also advising the business to optimize execution and administration of contracts with Mammoet customers and (sub) contractors in line with commercial objectives, risk mitigation, and by maintaining internal bidding standards and procedures in order to improve customers satisfaction & commercial results. You will be involved in the full spectrum of contract administration activities starting from Pre-award, Post-award, and closeout of the contract.

  • Assess the contract framework, advice on schedule, scope (exclusions), and obtain the legal assessment.
  • Support on contractual matters, handle variation orders, and claims.
  • Advice & support on contractual matters to sales during different phases of contract management - tendering, awarding, and handover.
  • Formulate and present the best possible contract solutions, directions, and issue advice to relevant disciplines as per applicable standards.
  • Proactively organize internal meetings or programs to share knowledge with colleagues (Sales, Legal, and Project Management).
  • Ensure administrative activities and procedures should be coordinated, executed, maintained, and improvised according to internal requirements.

Education & Experience

Must Have

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as contracts Manager
  • Working experience in International Contracts management e.g. FIDIC and NEC
  • Working experience in full cycle of Contract Administration e.g. Pre-Award, Post-Award and Close-out of contracts
  • Independent, good interpersonal and communication skills

Good to Have

  • Working experience in construction, offshore activities, or petrochemical plants is preferred
  • Experience in contracts management of heavy lifting, heavy-haul transport, and heavy Module / Equipment offloading in ports for EPC projects in Petrochemical refineries.
  • Knowledge of SAP software will be an advantage
