Mammoet is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the team. In this role you will participate in, advise on, and manage the processes for contract formation and execution across the Canada Eastern region. Working closely with the commercial, operational and legal teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts for projects and operational services are executed according to Mammoet commercial and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist with contract formation activities including:

  • Work with sales and legal teams to review, comment on and negotiate project and service contracts
  • Oversee the regional contracting processes to ensure that contract risks are appropriately identified, mitigated and managed

Provide post-award contract management support including:

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and work with Project Managers to manage contract deliverables, risks and changes
  • Assisting with the development of a contract administration and management framework
  • Taking the lead in dispute management and claims administration
  • Managing contract renewals, closures and tracking lessons learned
  • Managing client relationships and stewarding future business opportunities
  • Representing Mammoet in client meetings

  • Advanced understanding of Contract Management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Commercial skills developed in the construction or related industries
  • Knowledge of Sales and Tendering systems
  • Understanding of Project Management
  • Basic understanding of legal affairs
  • Self-starter, works well with tight deadlines
  • Confident, clear communicator
  • Fully Bilingual English/French

Education & Experience

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters in a business administration / commerce, engineering or similar discipline related to construction contracts and projects
  • Supplementary training in contract management or equivalent

Experience

  • Previous knowledge and experience working with unionized environments is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in construction or EPC contract administration/ management or equivalent in a fast paced environment
  • Previous site and project management experience is an asset

About our region

This is a full-time permanent position operating out of our Guelph Head Office. Periodic travel and site work will be required.
